Dnepropetrovsk is stretched on the both sides of the river Dnepr, in the heart of Ukraine. The city, in general, is full of contrasts: shabby twostoried buildings and skyscrapers, a combination of something tht can not be combined. There are a lot of sights and just beautiful places. The opinion that city is not attractive exists because first of all when you think about Dnipropetrovsk you think about industry. But if you can devote a couple of days and to get acquainted with a city, you will probably change your opinion.

Dnepropetrovsk as well as Kiev, Kharkov and Odessa is a city with the population that is more than million. The pride of the city Dnepropetrovsk and its most important sight is the river Dnepr. The Dnepropetrovsk sea-front is the longest in Europe, it is spread for mere than 23km along the right coast of the river Dnepr. There is also the bench of enamoured and a Tree of happiness. They were made by local smiths. The well-known "Towers" in Dnepropetrovsk consist of two houses: theWestern and the Eastern.
The city is also well-known for the Ekaterinoslavsky boulevard. After the opening of the Ekaterinoslavsky boulevard Dnepropetrovsk has received the informal name «New Arbat». The Dnepropetrovsk -Ekaterinoslavsky boulevard is favourite place for resting for the towns-men. And on the area near the Opera theater it is always very crowded and cheerful.

The youth gatheres here to communicate and to sit near a fountain, to listen to music … And if you are the fan of art you definitely should visit the Dnepropetrovsk National Historical Museum. It was founded in 1849 and it is one of the oldest museums in Ukraine. In our city Dnepropetrovsk there is a special place for love recognitions, that is the Avenue of enamoured which became the visiting card of Dnepropetrovsk. You also can visit: Gameland. Go-cart racing center, park by the name of Lazarja Globa and park by the name of Shevchenko, and also the planetarium - a unique complex which combines advantages of theater and audience. The actors at this extraordinary theater are planets, the Sun and stars. The special device "Planetarium" allows you to see a picture of the star sky, in all its fascinating magnificence. The botanical garden is a favourite place of inhabitants of Dnepropetrovsk and students. Here you can see rare plants of several thousand kinds. And if you decide to become a small child and simply to have a rest from important business the Dnepropetrovsk circus will help you with it. The next sight of Dnepropetrovsk is the Palace of Potyomkin that is a masterpiece of architectural harmony. The airport of Dnepropetrovsk has the status of the international. The most important decoration of Dnepropetrovsk sea-front by the name of V.I.Lenin is illuminated-musical fountain that is called "the White Swan".
